COMTEC® 6000 – In-Situ Combustion Analyzer for O₂ and COe Monitoring

When efficient combustion and low emissions are critical, reliable measurement of oxygen and combustion gases is essential. COMTEC® 6000 provides real-time monitoring of oxygen (O₂) and carbon monoxide equivalent (COe) directly inside the flue gas.

By measuring both parameters in situ, the analyzer gives you the data needed to optimize air-to-fuel ratios, reduce CO emissions, and maintain stable combustion across a wide range of industrial processes.

Direct In-Situ Measurement for Accurate Combustion Monitoring

COMTEC® 6000 is an in-situ probe analyzer designed for installation directly in flue gas ducts, boilers, and furnaces. The system combines two proven sensor technologies:

  • Zirconium oxide sensor for precise oxygen measurement
  • Mixed potential (MXP) sensor for COe detection

This combination allows operators to monitor both excess oxygen and incomplete combustion in real time.

The probe is built for harsh industrial environments and can measure process gas temperatures up to 500 °C directly in the process, or up to 1400 °C when used with a cooling protection tube.

Hazardous Area Versions for Gas and Dust Environments

For installations in hazardous areas, COMTEC® analyzers are available in explosion-protected versions.

Available variants include:

  • COMTEC GasEx – designed for explosive gas atmospheres with ATEX certification
  • COMTEC DustEx – suitable for dust explosive environments

These versions enable safe operation in challenging industrial environments such as chemical plants, energy facilities, and heavy industry.
