How It Works

Each MD-Series dryer uses Nafion™ tubing arranged in a compact, monotube design.

As the sample gas flows through the inner lumen, moisture selectively permeates through the Nafion™ wall and is continuously carried away by a purge gas or dry ambient air.

This unique design provides:

  • High selectivity for water vapor only
  • No moving parts or refrigerants
  • No need for heating or cooling
  • Chemical inertness and corrosion resistance

Because Nafion™ does not absorb or react with other gas components, it preserves true gas composition and ensures measurement integrity — even for reactive or corrosive samples.
