Fixed Biogas & Biomethane Analyzers – Continuous Monitoring for Stable Gas Production
In biogas and biomethane plants, gas composition directly affects process stability, efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Fixed analyzers from QED provide continuous monitoring of methane, carbon dioxide, oxygen and trace gases across your process. You gain reliable data for optimizing digestion, verifying gas upgrading and ensuring that injected biomethane meets grid specifications.
Through Norsk Analyse, these systems are configured to match your plant layout, monitoring points and communication infrastructure.

Continuous Gas Monitoring Across Your Biogas Process
The BIOGAS 3000 and BIOMETHANE 3000 analyzers are designed for fixed installation in anaerobic digestion and upgrading facilities.
Using infrared measurement for methane and carbon dioxide combined with electrochemical sensors for oxygen and trace gases, the analyzers deliver stable and repeatable readings for continuous process control.
Depending on the configuration, the system can monitor multiple sampling points and integrate directly with plant control systems via industrial communication protocols.
This enables operators to track gas quality at critical process stages – from digester output to upgrading and grid injection.
Two Analyzer Platforms for Different Stages of the Biogas Process
The QED platform includes two closely related analyzers designed for different parts of the biogas value chain.
BIOGAS 3000 – Continuous Monitoring for Anaerobic Digestion
The BIOGAS 3000 is designed for continuous monitoring within anaerobic digestion plants and landfill gas systems.
It measures methane, carbon dioxide and oxygen, with optional sensors for hydrogen sulphide, hydrogen and carbon monoxide. With support for up to four sampling points, operators can monitor gas composition across multiple stages of the digestion process.
The analyzer supports stable process monitoring and early detection of oxygen ingress or gas quality changes.
BIOMETHANE 3000 – Gas Quality Verification for Grid Injection
The BIOMETHANE 3000 is optimized for biomethane upgrading facilities where gas quality must meet strict grid specifications.
It delivers high-accuracy methane and oxygen measurement to verify methane levels above 95% and oxygen levels below 1%. Automated calibration functions help maintain measurement accuracy even under variable operating conditions.
This makes the system well suited for final-stage gas verification before grid injection.
